The objective of this project was to measure the stresses developed at various locations on the hydraulic roll crusher’s components under normal operating conditions. Similar to the tests done on rock crushers for an Arizona mine, ECRS/Metalock provide the analysis for the roll crusher located at the cement plant in Brazil. Extensive tests and finite element analysis models where done to study the piston rod to clevis connections for these rock crushers in order to prevent future damage. ECRS/Metalock was able to provide extensive strain data for the rock crusher during its range of operating capabilities.
