Copper and Gold Mine

This copper and gold mine located near Manila, Philippines required a repair on an eroded ball mill discharge trunnion. After extensive work by ECRS/Metalock engineers, running finite element analysis models, a repair was proposed for onsite installation and machining. A cast iron insert plug and reinforcement pads where design and installed into the eroded areas of the trunnion. Once in place the plug and pads were bored and machined to accept a carbon steel reinforcing sleeve. This sleeve would extend the life of the once eroded parent material of the trunnion.
