The copper mine located near Santiago, Chile draws from three open-pit mineral deposits in the Andean plateau. This raw material accounts for over 90% of the company’s output. The mine produces copper concentrate, copper cathodes and molybdenum concentrate to be shipped for its final stage of processing. In 2012 alone services provided by ECRS/Metalock included inspections, engineering consultations, and repair work for one of the mine’s ball mills. Further repair monitoring included strain gaging the mill with the Microstrain V-link. The use of these devices allows our team to better determine the best means of repairs to suite you needs and can provide valuable data on the integrity of repair and parent material.
